
The Regional Center for Agronomic Research (CRRA) of Tadla – Béni Mellal warmly congratulates Chaimae Elghouttaiss, a doctoral student whose thesis was selected among the top five finalists in the “My Thesis in 1000 Words” competition, organized by ICESCO in partnership with Sultan Qaboos University – Oman. She achieved an outstanding fourth place in the final ranking.
📅 The final took place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Sultan Qaboos University, where Chaimae had the opportunity to present her work to a panel of experts and academics.
📝 Her thesis was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Kaoutar Elfazazi, responsible of the Laboratory of Food Quality and Technology – CRRA Tadla, Béni Mellal and Prof. Souad Salmaoui, Lecturer-Researcher (PES) at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Béni Mellal – Sultan Moulay Slimane University (USMS).
Chaimae' research focuses on the technological valorization of pomegranate, through the development of innovative cold-storage processes to extend the fruit’s postharvest life.
This remarkable achievement is a source of pride for CRRA Tadla and demonstrates the excellence and dedication of its students in research and innovation.
